Raytheon Solipsys Library for Automatic Tracking and Estimation (SLATE) is comprised of a tracker component for single source tracking and a fusion and registration components for multi-source tracking. The tracker, designed for rotating radars, supports 3-D, 2-D and Identification Friend/Foe (IFF) sources. Handling stationary or moving sensor platforms, surface, air, or TBM target tracking, and a range of sensor update rates and accuracies, the tracker can also be configured for integration with a variety of network systems. Tracker functionality includes:
- Track initiation, maintenance and deletion
- Association, either contact to local track or contact to network track
- Activity control
- State estimation, providing associated contacts and/or local track state updates
The SLATE components have simple APIs with a variety of configurable parameters. The Tracker can be easily adapted for new radar sources and/or network systems by developing a software “wrapper” that translates the radar output messages into SLATE callbacks, the network messages into SLATE callbacks and the SLATE output into network messages. The software wrapper also sets the tracker parameters which configure SLATE.
