Raytheon Solipsys Releases TDF 5
Raytheon Solipsys proudly announces the latest major release of its flagship visualization product, TDF 5. The Tactical Display Framework (TDF) is a scalable, high-performance, geospatial visualization software toolkit used to develop displays and advanced information systems for such demanding applications as Command and Control, Air Traffic Management, Missile Defense, Wide Area Surveillance, Emergency Response and Disaster Management, and Distributed Mission Operations. Building upon 12 years of demonstrated excellence in tactical visualization, TDF 5 now introduces advanced collaboration capabilities and a sophisticated new user interface for improved operator effectiveness and efficiency.
With a highly modular, plug-in based architecture, TDF makes it easy to develop highly customized visualization applications. TDF is a fully functional, easy-to-use display application right out out of the box providing display developers with significant capability to create effective mission specific solutions. TDF continues to support the most popular NGA and commercial imagery and map formats, along with dynamic overlays, operator-editable doctrines, and tens of thousands of dynamically updating entities.
TDF 5 introduces:
- Collaboration workgroups to keep organized
- Chat between TDFs or over IRC and XMPP/Jabber to stay connected
- Telestrator scribbles to mark up the situation display
- Offscreen Indicators to see what’s just beyond view
- Paths to help automate wide-area surveillance monitoring
- KML and COLLADA support to take advantage of more data sources
- Spotlighting with text-driven search to make it easy to find tracks of interest
TDF 5 also includes a fully immersive 3D view to add new perspectives your visualization data.
When combined with Raytheon Solipsys’ family of visualization products – including Meridian for automated imagery management, Sculpt for scenario generation and interactive training, and in the future Raytheon Solipsys Thin Client Display for remote extension of the situation display – TDF 5 is the heart of today’s collaborative, multi-mission operations center. TDF technology is the basis for displays deployed in systems around the world, including the USAF Battlespace Command and Control Center (BC3),the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Vigilare, the US Army JLENS, the USAF AWACS 40/45, the USN Poseidon MMA, the Repubilc of Korea AEW&C, and many others. TDF 5 also paves the way for version 5 of the Multi-Source Correlator Tracker (MSCT), Raytheon Solipsys’ COTS C2 solution, to be released later this year.
